About Thereish
Short
Thereish is a work diary that fills itself in, for people whose work moves between places.
Long
Thereish is a work diary that fills itself in, for people whose work moves between sites: tradespeople, technicians, cleaners, carers.
Set your work hours and where your jobs are. Thereish notices when you arrive and leave, and the job waits in your Inbox with roughly the right times until it's in your timesheet. It offers the photos you took on the visit, keeps notes and products with each job, records the drives and splits the kilometres fairly between clients. Export to a spreadsheet, or send a customer the job as a link.
Built with Core Location visits, Apple Intelligence on device, Live Activities, widgets and Siri, with one diary on iPhone, iPad and Mac through the user's own iCloud. Launches 24 November 2026; pre-orders from late October.
The story
Jordan McDonald is a systems integrator in New Zealand. He designs, installs and programs AV, lighting control and networks, runs the projects, and keeps the company's own systems going. Most days he's between sites. He kept a diary app for his jobs, but first he had to remember to fill it in, and then nothing nudged him to do his timesheets except his boss or the accountant. He looked for an app that would log his hours and drives by itself, and only during work hours, and couldn't find one. So he built Thereish. You set your work hours and where your jobs are, and the diary fills itself in.
What it does
- Notices when you arrive at and leave a job site, in the work hours you set (or when you're on call).
- Jobs wait in your Inbox with roughly the right times until they're in your timesheet, then you mark them Done.
- Offers the photos you took during the visit, and keeps notes and products with each job.
- Records the drives to, from and between jobs, and splits the kilometres fairly between clients.
- Exports your jobs to a spreadsheet, or sends a customer the job as a simple link.
- Live Activities, widgets and Siri on iPhone, and one diary on iPhone, iPad and Mac through your own iCloud.
